The 7th Petrol reduction since June 2008

Good news to all, petrol prices is again reduced from RM1.90 to RM1.80 per litre for RON 97 and from RM1.80 to RM1.70 per litre for diesel and RON92 which is lower than previous petrol price of RM1.92 per litre.

This seem that our government is totally committed to look after the welfare for communities. therefore, we should thankful to our government and continuously to support our government.

3 weeks ago i was attend the road safety campaign exhibition at The Spring organised by "Jabatan Keselamatan Jalan Raya Malaysia (JKJR) which is officiated by our Deputy Transport Minister.

During the opening speech by the Deputy Minister, he did mention several important points that we need to aware of. For example, starting 1 January 2009, safety belf is compulsory for back seater and compulsory to change helmet after used for up to 5 years. For more info, do visit http://www.panducermat.org.my/.

After several months of preparation and hardwork, finally The 6th National Undergraduates Convention was successfully organised at Santubong Resort Kuching dan Permai Rainforest Resort on 5 - 7 December 2008 which was participated by 118 students over 14 local universities in Malaysia.

Early morning on 5 Dec 2008, committees were busy doing preparation at Santubong hall to welcome all the participants while others 4 committees were arranged transportation at Civic Centre.

The convention was started with simple briefing and introduction of committees and followed by ice breaking and learning the hand languages for our camp song. Actually, 1st day for the convention was absolutely boring and tired as most of the slot were filled with talk, topic disccussion and presentation. However, most student comment that with the experience speakers and session moderator, all these boring talk or discussion become interesting and meaningful.

By 7:30pm sharp, the National Undergraduates Convention was officiated by Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Dr George Chan Hong Nam in which he is also our main sponsor for the 1st Convention till recent 6th Convention. To our Datuk Patinggi, on behalf of the students, thanks a lot for the support that allowed us to learn and gain knowledge at this prestigious National Undergraduates Convention and we hope that the convention will continuously organise for the following years so that we can produce more qualified youth for the future of Malaysia.

Finally 1st day is pass but the most challenging 2nd day is coming....

My overall comment for the 1st day, most student still not dare to communicate to each other and there are more to own universities group. This might be probrably due to not enough ice breaking games at beginning. However, slowly it can be observed that student themselves may able to get close to each other. Well done all participants........

Fuel Prices Down Another 10sen!!!!

Good news, Good news, What had been predicted before this is true, that the fuel prices reduce another 10 sen effective by 3 Dec 2008 where the new price of RON97 petrol would be RM1.90 per litre down from RM2.00, while RON92 petrol and diesel would be down to RM1.80 from RM1.90 per litre said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi this afternoon.

This is the 6th time our government reduce the fuel prices and surprise is, the fuel price now is 2 sen lower than the previous fuel prices before increase to RM2.70 per litre for RON 97.

However, thanks to our government for reducing the price and we hope that foods or daily needs price will reduce as well in this short periods..

December is coming!!!! Will fuels prices continue going down???????

Yeah, 6 more days to go is the last month for year 2008 that is the month full of holidays (8 Dec Hari Raya Haji, 25 Dec Chrismas and 29 Dec Awal Muharram). Great, can have more time to rest at home.......

Suddenly i think about the fuels price again, after last reduction on 18 Nov, many of the communities still asking themselves is fuel price will still reduce from Rm2 to Rm1.85 for RON97? This question still cannot get the right person to answer it....

But anyhow, i believe our government sure will consider to reduce it if worldwide raw fuels price is continuous decreased.. So, let us together count down for the December to arrive for all this good news....

This afternoon, the sunlight is very strong but not that hot, a group of my colleagues drove to Filem Negara Malaysia located at Jalan Sultan Tengah joining the Kempen Bumi Hijau programmes. At first, we thought we are planting a tree, but is not... it is doing some plantation for vegetables or fruit.

Bare in mind my readers, although it is not planting a tree, but as long as planting up a greenish plant, it consider one of the way to save our environment and at the same time we may have some time to build up our relationship between each other. Overall, it was enjoyable although it is very tired doing plantation under the hot sun.. Hehe....

Right after the hard work, the organiser prepare some poco-poco dance to everyone of us to relax up our mind before we make a move ...

Anyhow, this activities is enjoyable and meaningful. Although we only setting up a mini farm, but this may able to contribute in a small portion to save our environment and together save our world......

Fuel Prices: The 5th Reduction

Dear all my readers, another good news i wish to update here, and this is my 5th time update the same issue that is our nation fuel prices will reduce for another 15 sen effective on 18 November 2008 following the Government's decision to lower fuel prices in tandem with the downward trend of global oil prices, said Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in a statement on Monday. Therefore, the pump price of RON97 petrol will be RM2 a litre from RM2.15 while the retail price of RON92 petrol and diesel is RM1.90 a litre.

Najib in the statement said, this is the fifth downward revision since August in honouring the Government's promise to the people to lower fuel prices if oil prices dwindled in the world market and he hoped traders would also lower prices of goods and services following the reduction in fuel prices to enable the people to reap the full benefits of cheaper fuel.

In relation to his statement, i am sure that everyone of us is still waiting for the reduction of goods and services prices. Therefore, let us together give the full support to our government for a better tomorow and we wish there will be another good news again on fuel prices by early of december....

Airasia Scraps Fuel Surcharge. How about Luggages Handling Charge??????

Passengers on AirAsia and AirAsia X flights will no longer have to pay a fuel surcharge for both local and international flights which mean that all passengers need only pay the fare, airport tax of RM6 for domestic flights and RM25 on international routes and administrative fee of RM22.50.
According to its Chief Operating Officer, Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes, AirAsia becomes the first airline in the world to do away with the fuel surcharge for all its flights where previously passengers paid an average of RM47.

Fernandes, however, added that he could not guarantee that the airline would not reimpose the surcharge should world fuel prices skyrocket again.

Regarding the check-in baggage handling fee, Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes feedback that it would remain with the reasons that

1. Fuel prices
2. To limit luggage, and
3. To be more environmentally friendly which mean the lighter the plane, the less emissions there will be.

But, for my opinion, all these three reason cannot wisely explain why the check in luggages fees still remain because as long as the airline strictly control the weight limitation for check in luggages and penalty, it will be more than enough to control the numbers of luggages.

Therefore, there might have 2 reason why apply the luggage handling charge:

1. To get profit from the charges
2. To limit luggage so that more space for the purpose of AirAsia Cargo.

So, therefore, for the purpose to benifited all parties, we hope, AirAsia can follow Malaysia Airlines that no luggages handling charges in the future......

父母永遠只有一個 (Must read if you understand Mandarin)

This afternoon when i check my mail, suddenly received a mail from somebody that i dont know, surprise a while and the topic of the email is very attractive - 父母永遠只有一個 which mean There is only 1 mum and 1 dad in our life. So i click the mail and found it was a very long mail. But, since the topic is very attractive, i concentrate myself and finish the article.

The story so touch and there is a feeling like going to cry before i finish the article, but i have to control my own as i was in the office and continue reading it at home. By midnight and i spend my time to finish the article, it was really touch and i was really cried. Dear my readers, it really a good article and i decide to post it here. For those who understand mandarin, please read it and for those not understand mandarin, do approach me for the translation....

The story is as below:

媳婦說:[煮淡一點妳就嫌沒有味，現在煮鹹一點妳卻說咽不下，妳究竟想怎麼樣 ？」 母親一見兒子回來，二話不說便把飯菜往咀裡送。

她怒瞪他一眼。 他試了一口，馬上吐出來，兒子說：「我不是說過了嗎，媽有病不能吃太鹹！」 「那好！媽是你的，以後由你來煮！」媳婦怒氣沖沖地回房。

兒子無奈地輕嘆一聲，然後對母親說：「媽，別吃了，我去煮個麵給妳.」 「仔，你是不是有話想跟媽說，是就說好了，別憋在心裡！ 「 媽，公司下個月升我職，我會很忙，至於老婆，她說很想出來工作，所以 ....」 母親馬上意識到兒子的意思：「 仔，不要送媽去老人院。」 聲音似乎在哀求。 兒子沉默片刻，他是在尋找更好的理由。

「媽，其實老人院並沒有甚麼不好，妳知道老婆一但工作，一定沒有時間好好服侍妳。老人院有吃有住有人服侍照顧，不是比在家裡好得多嗎？」「可是，阿財叔他 ....」

洗了澡，草草吃了一碗速食麵，兒子便到書房去。他茫然地佇立於窗前，有些猶豫不決。母親年輕便守寡，含辛茹苦將他撫養成人，供他出國讀書。但她從不用年輕時的犧牲當作要脅他孝順的籌碼，反而是妻子以婚姻要脅他！真的要讓母親住老人院嗎？仔問自己，他有些不忍。

「 可以陪你下半世的人是你老婆，難道是你媽嗎？」 阿財叔的兒子總是這樣提醒他
「 你媽都這麼老了，好命的話可以活多幾年，為何不趁這幾年好好孝順她呢？」親戚總是這樣勸他。

兒子不敢再想下去，深怕自己真的會改變初衷。
夕晚，太陽收斂起灼熱的金光，躲在山後憩息。 一間建在郊外山崗的一座貴族老人院。
是的，錢用得越多，兒子才心安理得。當兒子領著母親步入大廳時，嶄新的電視機，42吋的螢幕正播放著一部喜劇， 但觀眾一點笑聲也沒有。 幾個衣著一樣，髮型一樣的老嫗歪歪斜斜地坐在梳化上，神情呆滯而有一個老人在自言自語，有個正緩緩彎下腰，想去撿掉在地上的一塊餅乾吃。 兒子知道母親喜歡光亮，所以為她選了一間陽光充足的房間。從窗口望出去，樹蔭下，一片芳草如茵。幾名護士推著坐在輪椅的老者在夕陽下散步，四周悄然寂靜得令人心酸。縱是夕陽無限好，畢竟已到了黃昏，他心中低低嘆息。

「媽，我........我要走了 ！」母親只能點頭。他走時，母親頻頻揮手，她張著沒有牙的嘴，蒼白乾燥的咀唇在囁嚅著，一副欲語還休的樣子。兒子這才注意到母親銀灰色的頭髮，深陷的眼窩以及打著細紋臉。母親，真的老了！

他霍然記起一則兒時舊事。那年他才6歲，母親有事回鄉，不便攜他同行，於是把他寄住在阿財叔家幾天。母親臨走時，他驚恐地抱著母親的腿傷心大聲號哭道：「 媽媽不要丟下我！媽媽不要走!」 最後母親沒有丟下他。

他連忙離開房間，順手把門關上，不敢回頭，深恐那記憶像鬼魅似地追纏而來。

他回到家，妻子與岳母正瘋狂的把母親房裡的一切扔個不亦樂乎。

身高3呎的獎杯── 那是他小學作文比賽「我的母親」第1名的勝利品！
華英字典──那是母親整個月省吃省用所買給他的第一份生日禮物！
還有母親臨睡前要擦的風濕油，沒有為她擦，帶去老人院又有甚麼意義呢？

「夠了，別再扔了！」兒子怒吼道。

「 就是嘛！你趕快把你媽那張爛床給抬出去，我明天要為我媽添張新的 ！」

一堆童年的照片展現在兒子眼前，那是母親帶他到動物園和遊樂園拍的照片.「 它們是我媽的財產，一樣也不能丟！」

「 你這算甚態度？對我媽這麼大聲，我要你向我媽道歉！」

「 我娶妳就要愛妳的母親，為甚麼妳嫁給我就不能愛我的母親？ 」

雨後的黑夜分外冷寂，街道蕭瑟，行人車輛格外稀少。一輛寶馬在路上飛馳，頻頻闖紅燈，陷黃格，呼一聲又飛馳而過。那輛轎車一路奔往山崗上的那間老人院，停車直奔上樓，推開母親臥房的門。他幽靈似地站著，母親正撫摸著風濕痛的雙腿低泣。她見到兒子手中正拿著那瓶風濕油，顯然感到安慰的說：「 媽忘了帶，幸好你拿來！ 」他走到母親身邊，跪了下來。
「很晚了，媽自己擦可以了，你明天還要上班，回去吧！」

他囁嚅片刻，終於忍不住啜泣道 ： 「媽，對不起，請原諒我！我們回家去吧 ！」

隨著自己愈長大，看著父母親臉龐從年輕變憔悴，頭髮從烏絲變白髮,動作從迅捷變緩慢，多心疼！

父母親總是將最好、最寶貴的留給我們，像蠟燭不停的燃燒自己，照亮孩子！而我呢？有沒有騰出一個空間給我的父母，或者只是在當我需要停泊岸時， 才會想起他們……其實父母親要的真的不多，只是一句隨意的問候：爸、媽，你們今天好嗎？」隨意買的宵夜，煮一頓再普通不過的晚餐;，睡前幫他們蓋蓋被子，天冷幫他們添衣服、戴手套……都能讓他們高興溫馨很久。

有時，我常在想：我希望我的子女以後如何對我。 那現在，我有沒有如此對待我的父母？ 我相信，人是環環相扣的；現在，你如何對待你的父母；以後，你的子女就如何待你。

朋友，人世間最難報的就是父母恩，願我們都能：以反哺之心奉敬父母，以恩之心孝順父母！

Barack Obama was elected the nation's first black president Tuesday night in a historic triumph that overcame racial barriers as old as America itself.

The son of a black father from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas, the Democratic senator from Illinois sealed his victory by defeating Republican Sen. John McCain in a string of wins in hard-fought battleground states - Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Iowa.

After the winning of Barack Obama, a huge crowd in Grant Park in Chicago erupted in jubilation at the news of Obama's victory. Some wept.

However, Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware, will take their oaths of office as president and vice president on Jan. 20, 2009.

However, congratulation to Obama for the victory and historicaly become the first black president in U.S.

Good News after Fuel Prices Reduction - Rice Prices Down 20 sen

Everytime fuel prices decreased, prices of daily goods and food always become the main topic for the coffee talk where food n others daily goods might need to revised as well.

Good news from government again from Ministry of Agriculture and Agro Based Industry - That is rice in the country is now cheaper by an average of 20sen per kilo.

The grade of rice with 5% broken grains (Super Special Tempatan 5%) which was priced at RM2.80 is now RM2.60 per kilo while the price of Super Special Tempatan 10% has been cut from RM2.70 to RM2.50 per kilo.

However, prices of imported rice from Thailand are also slashed by 50sen from RM3.50 to RM3.00 per kilo.

Dear readers, it was a good news to all of us and we hoping for more goods to slashed down in this recent day.

Fuel Price Once Again Reduce - The 4th reduction

Expectedly for my previous notes that fuel price might reduce again by early of November, it really become reality. Thanks to our government that revised the fuel price and thanks god that the global oil prices went down drastically.

So, the new price for RON97 is RM2.15 a litre (from RM2.30). Both RON92 and diesel are now RM2.05 a litre from RM2.20 previously which mean that all type of fuel were decreased 15 sen per litre.

During the announcement of the fuel price reduction, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said in a statement that the Government had decided to expedite the reduction to allow the public to enjoy the benefits and added by Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad that if the world crude oil price continued to drop at the present rate, local pump prices would likely revert to the pre-June price of RM1.92 per litre.

Therefore, we are still hoping for the reduction of fuel price by the middle of November...

Bad Experience Travel with Airasia

Last week, i went to Johor Bharu and Singapore for a short visit at JB and Singapore together with my parents and my aunty. The trip was nice and smooth where i enjoy it very much.

Long time i was not in JB and Singapore where my last visit was 4 years ago during my convocation at UTM. My comment to Johor Bharu during my recent trip is Johor Bharu totally changed to a new look and well develop in term of infrastructure, facilities and development. This is because the gateway of southern - State of Johor was still ruling by the Barisan Nasional Government that we all knowing that only Barisan Nasional can bring the development for the state.

My story not end here, although i enjoy my trip very much at JB and Singapore, but i faced with a bad experience with Airasia when i check in. Actually, i do have pre book luggage handling fees for 3 luggages under my name that recommended by Kuching Airport Sales Officers. However, we are group of 4pax under two different booking number (my booking got 3 pax and another booking got 1 pax) were we might allocate for 60kg for luggages. But, the three luggages was 48kg which mention by the officers that it is over weight although we are travel 4 pax, so, i was force to pay either RM45 for 3kg overweight charge or Rm10 for another booking luggages handling fees. (Dear my readers, this scenario never happen in Kuching Airport check in counter and my pre booked luggages handling fees all under my name also recommended by the officer in-charge at Kuching). Why i am so sad? It is because the officer very rude to me and never listen to my explanation.... Airasia, please look into this probelm, if continuous happen to passenger, i m sure once there is new budget airlines get in Malaysia, Airasia will not be a 1st choice anymore. Or, we better travel with traditional airlines, Malaysia Airlines.

Malaysia Airlines OR Air Asia

The common advertisement in the newspaper that we able to find most of the time is RM0 fare either from Malaysia Airlines or Airasia where both of the airlines were keep doing promotion for RM 0 fare or LOW fare. Dear all my reader, what type of airlines will you choose when you plan to travel either to local or oversea? Let me do a simple analysis between Malaysia Airlines and Airasia.

For Malaysia Airlines, recently, the management of Malaysia Airlines had announce that all the fare of Malaysia Airlines flight only charge TICKET FARE and AIRPORT TAXES and no more fuel surcharge, or administration fees during this promotion periods. It means if we book Malaysia Airlines ticket from KCH to KL (RETURN TRIP), we only need to pay RM206 while Airasia charges is RM 182 (excluded Luggage Handling fees).

To all my reader, Malaysia Airlines luggage limit is 20kg (RM 4 per kilo charges applied if overweight) while Airasia luggage limit is 15kg (RM15 per kilo charges applied if overweight) . However, for Airasia, each of the luggage have to pay handling fees of RM10 if pay on the spot during check-in.

In addition, Seat for Malaysia Airlines is arranged while Airasia is free seating. Therefore, if we travel in a big group and wana sit together in the flight while boarding Airasia, another fees that we need to pay, that is Express Boarding which cost RM 25 per passenger.

SCENARIO:

Ah Meng going to KL on 27 February 2009 from Kuching and return by 3 March 2009 where he compare both airlines ticket price. He will be going to bring 4 luggages with total weight of 19.9kg and he like to get walk way seat while on board.

Charges if he took Malaysia Airlines

RM206.00 all included

Charges if he took Airasia

Ticket fares : RM 182.00
4 luggages : RM 5 x 4 luggages x 2 (Return) = RM 40.00
Overweight charge : RM 15 x 5kg x 2 (Return) = RM150.00
Express boarding for walk way seat x 2 (Return) : RM50
Total charges: RM 422.00

So, ladies and gentlement, during this difficulties period, please look into consideration on this matter while searching for flight ticket. I believe, if u travel within a big group of family or bringing plenty of luggages, Malaysia Airlines is the great choice n more comfortable.

MCA Party election result finally out

After several weeks starting from nomination, campaign and party election, result finally out by yesterday where the MCA President post won by former Transport Minister, Datuk Ong Tee Keat who beat Datuk Chua Jui Meng with 512 votes majority and become MCA No:1 . However, unpredictable, Datuk Chua Soi Lek become MCA No:2 after won the Deputy President of MCA with a simple majority of 114 votes beat former Housing and Local Goverment Minister and Former Secretary General of MCA, Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan, Vice President, Datuk Lim Siang Chai and Pengkalan Kota Assemblyment, Lee Haik Teik.

However, for the MCA Vice-President post, it was won by Datuk Ng Yen Yen who become the 1st women that hold the vice president of MCA, Health Minister, Datuk Liow Tiong Lai, Datuk Kong Cho Ha, and Tan Yi@ Tan Kok Hong.

Congratulation to those who won in the party election and we hope that the new faces of MCA will bring more good news and fight more benefits for the community of chinese. Also, we hope that all the elected MCA leaders will work together as a team for the future of MCA and the most important, must fulfilled all the promise that voiced during the campaign.

Petrol reduce again.....

Good news again from our government again on the petrol price as the petrol prices were reduced around 10 sen to 20 sen starting by today.

RON 97 petrol is reduced by 15sen to RM2.30; RON 92 petrol is reduced by 10sen to RM2.20; and diesel is reduced by 20sen to RM2.20. Although we understand that reduce of 15 sen is still little compare to the increased of 70 sen by several month ago, but we must be patient and we hope for the good news again for next month.

A great development for Sarawak for the next 8 years as mention by our Chief Minister, Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday that A modern Rapid Railway System (RRS) will be built within the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) within the next seven years.

He said the proposed railway, which will be the state’s first, would most likely stretch from the proposed Samalaju Port to Igan for a start and the next government’s plan is to have it all the way from Samalaju to Tanjung Manis by 2030.

Proposal to built up the RRS in the central region may benefit the SCORE project and also the Tanjung Manis Halal Hub because the industry needs a fast form of transportation of the raw materials, as well as the finished products, from the industry to the port and vice versa. Anyhow, we hope this project may successfully plan.

9 month ago, i bought a Airasia ticket (for me, my dad n mum) from Kuching to JB for the purpose to help my brother move in to new house, but, tentatively change and causing all my Rm0 fares ticket useless...sound like a bit wasted. Since there got the air ticket, so, i just apply leave and plan for my journey from JB to the north....

Throughout the journey, i spend plenty of my time in the long distance bus. Once arrive at Sultan Ismail Airport, JB, immediately i rush to bus station to catch for the Express Bus to Kuala Perlis (the gateway to Langkawi Island). The journey which took me 13 hours plus 45 minutes of ferry ride is tired but fun..

My purpose to Langkawi not for enjoy, but my first thing to do there is looking for Minyak Gamat that very well known among malays and chinese community. I bought this because the Minyak Gamat is good for those who got pain at their muscles etc....

Since the time still early to catch a ferry by 5:15pm to Penang, so, i drop by at underwater world langkawi to enjoy watching the fish and penguin that my last visit to Langkawi 5 years ago still dont have. Wonderful, the penguin is cute but a bit dissapointed that the huge fish that i watched before was no more there and only left a few. Heard that it might probrably due to the previous cases where the water get in to aquarium was contaminated. Pity to all the lovely fish.

Another amazing thing about Langkawi is the sunset scenario... great (as showed above) and wonderful. there must a lot couple wish to view the scene together during sunset very much. Actually, there still plenty of place to visit in Langkawi (namely cable car, telaga tujuh, pulau dayang bunting, pulau payar, pulau beras basah, pantai hitam, pantai cenang, makam mahsuri, beras terbakar etc...., just my time is not allowable, so, i i have to make a move to penang n board the next morning bus to JB before i went bek to kuching at from JB.

This trip was tired, but is really fun. although this is my 3rd time to Langkawi, but i still sense that the food there is nice and delicious..and to all my readers, either from Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Korea, germany, US or Spain, if there is any free time, welcome to our lovely n small town of Pulau Langkawi. welcome to Langkawi.

Time fly very fast........huh, my short trip is ended by 9 Oct 2008 and it leave plenty of sweet memories .....hehe, anyhow, i enjoy the trip very much.....

From time to time, why people start to withdraw Streamyx n install Celcom Broadband

Dear all readers, any comment on recent streamyx services? Why i found that recently, plenty of business unit and offices start to withdraw streamyx and start to use celcom broadband as previously Streamyx was very popular among all these parties.... What had happen to our streamyx?

Frankly speaking, i personally encounter this problem where i m using streamyx and it was fail to connect since 1 week ago, for making a complaint, i call TM no: 100 and connect to streamyx service, but almost 1 weeks i fail to connect to streamyx operator and end up i making a complaint to TM where TM operator promise will send my complaint via email to streamyx, but after waiting for 5 days, my complaint was not entertained at all, where are you going, my dearest streamyx operator .....

It was sad and i call again today and it able to connect but nobody answer the call until several time i call, just manage to get the operator....sigh....i m wondering what had happen to streamyx? Do there dont have enough budget to recruit more customer service officer as every month we are paying them?

Dear my readers, after encounter all this thing, i just realise that why plenty of offices start to move to use celcom broadband and i hope that streamyx may take initiative to improve your service... Else, the world of wireless may belong to other operator.

In addition, because of all this problem, it cause me not able to update my blog more often....

3 days ago, i was away to KL and dont have pc to update any news for my blog... Sorry for no update.

A bit surprise when i get back office today where i can feel that the surrounding of my office and the Bazaar Ramadhan Satok seem to be quiet as totally different for the past few week....

When i open up my calender, just realise that today the Hari Raya eve.......where a lot Muslim friends already busy preparing for Hari Raya (like decorate house, baking some cakes or some might busy preparing some food to serve relatives n friends that visit their house) or some already balik kampung.

Dear all my muslim friends, let me sincerely wish you all Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin through my blog and wish all my friends have a good time during raya. For my muslim friends that stay at kuching, i will try my best to arrange some time to visit to your house and for my muslim friends in Peninsular Malaysia, i miss you all so much, how i wish i can celebrate Raya with you all...

Do not pump full tank of petrol!!!!!

Many of us are not aware that the petrol kiosk pump has a return pipe-line (in black ).

When the petrol tank (in the car) reaches full level, there is a mechanism to trigger off the pump latch and at the same time a return-valve is opened (at the top of the pump station) to allow excess petrol to flow back into the sump.

But the return petrol has already pass through the meter, meaning you are donating the petrol back to SHELL/ PETRONAS/ CALTEX/MOBIL..........

Fuel price down again....a small gift for Hari Raya!!!!!

Good news to all... and i believe this is a gift for Hari Raya where few hours ago, the government has cut the prices of RON97 and RON92 petrol, and diesel by 10 sen each to RM2.45, RM2.30 and RM2.40 per litre respectively.

Adding from Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad, who made the announcement on Wednesday, said the prices will be effective from Thursday.

To all members of Malaysia, although the fuel price only reduce in a minimal amount, but, i believe that i may able to help us to reduce our expenses especially on fuel, as mentioned by a malay idiom: "Sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit".

Anyhow, only in a month of periods (23 August - 24 September), our country fuel price was reduce up to 25sen and it shown that our government is helping the public, so, let us together give our support to the government and hopefully there will be another good news in the month of October.

924.... not a lucky day for Mr. Kho Whai Piaw

924, is the day where election court will be going to conclude the Bandar Kuching Parlimentary election petition that filed by Mr. Kho Whai Piaw against YB Chong. In the early morning around 8:55am, the lobby of the election court was crowded with reporters and both parties supporter. This can be see that how much the people from Bandar Kuching concern on the petition case.

Around 11:30am, the Election Court here has dismissed with costs a petition to nullify the election of DAP’s Chong Chieng Jen in the Bandar Kuching parliamentary constituency.

Election judge Datuk Clement Skinner said the petition, filed by voter Kho Whai Phiaw on April 28, failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt the allegation that Chong had engaged in the corrupt practice of undue influence and bribery in the run-up to the election.

However, after the judgement of the Bandar Kuching election petition, me and several reporters manage to dialogue with Mr. Henry Ling, lawyer to Mr Kho Whai Piaw and he mentioned that there is a very high possibility for them to appeal for the case and bare in mind, the hope for by-election for P195 Bandar Kuching is still valid. Anyhow, Good Luck to you all....

Candle Light Gathering

Followed by the arrestment of MP Seputeh and DUN Kinnara, YB Theresa Kok, several assembly or gathering were organised by the Democratic Action Party (DAP) to ask for the Police Force to release Theresa Kok and also urged the government to wisely used the Internal Security Act (ISA) as the ISA should only be used against terrorists and in time of emergency. The ISA should never be used for any other purpose as there are sufficient laws in our country to deal with irresponsible people whose actions or words disturb the peace and harmony that we are enjoying.

DAP Kuching branch also involved in organising the Candle light Gathering at Chong Lin Park by 16 September 2008 from 8pm till 8:45pm with the approval from Police Force. During the function, speeches were delivered by YB Chong and all the crowd were holding a cup of candle thoughout the gathering. This gathering were attended by YB Voon Lee Shan, YB Violet Yong, See Chee How (PKR) etc....

At the same time, memorandum were also signed by the crowd and expect will post all their name online to urge government release YB Theresa Kok. But, no matter how it going to be, we just hope that this case may able to settle wisely from the Police Force which may benifited all parties.... GOOD LUCK TO ALL.......

Tanggal 916....Negara Malaysia Baru??????

Berikutan dengan tsunami pilihanraya 8hb Mac 2008, Parti keadilan Rakyat selalu menyuarakan semangat untuk membentuk Kerajaan Negara baru pada 16 Sept 2008 dan mengatakan terdiri daripada MP Barisan Nasional akan menyertai Barisan Pakatan Rakyat. Malahan Ketua Pembangkang Parlimen negara dan beberapa pemimpin Pakatan Rakyat turut membuat kenyataan bahawa Kerajaan Baru pasti akan dibentuk pada tanggal 916 dan menambahkan kenyataan mereka bahawa sudah terdiri lebih daripada 31 orang MP Barisan Nasional akan menyertai Pakatan rakyat untuk membentuk kerajaan Baru.

Wahai kawan-kawan, hari ini sudah 17 September 2008, Kerajaan kita masih ditadbir oleh Kerajaan Barisan Nasional yang kukuh dan berpadu, ini bermakna Pakatan Rakyat selama ini telah membuat kenyataan PALSU dan mereka tidak mampu untuk membentuk Kerajaan Baru dan sememangnya kenyataan ini adalah salah satu muslihat untuk menipu rakyat dan untuk menjatuhkan Kerajaan Pusat sekarang.

Tanjung Manis Halal Park

A signing ceremony of Tanjung manis Halal Park were done between Taiwan Sea Party group and Sarawak Timber Industry and Development Centre (STIDC) on 12 September 2008 at Kuching recemntly where Taiwan’s Sea Party Group will invest more than RM2bil to develop aquaculture, farming and food processing activities in the Tanjung Manis Halal Park over the next three to five years.

The proposed investments include RM147mil for biotech prawn farming, RM141mil (eel farming), RM68mil (marine fishing), RM480mil (organic chicken and egg production facility), RM44mil (feed mill) and RM150mil (downstream processing factory).

Meanwhile, Sea Party will also invest RM20mil for a R&D centre in Tanjung Manis in collaboration with the National Taiwan Ocean University to support its marine and aquaculture industries and at the same time, Taiwanese Government will offer 20 scholarships yearly for Sarawakians to pursue postgraduate studies at the National Taiwan Ocean University.

Under the scholarship programme, Sea Party will sponsor RM20,000 per student while the Taiwanese government will offer a study grant of RM40,000.

This proposed Tanjung Manis halal park project is one of the four designated halal parks in Malaysia. Apart of the investment from Taiwan, several investors from Arab and Japan ( Dubai World) also interested to invest for the Project.

As a Sarawakian, we are very proud for the launching of the Tanjung Manis Halal Park in which this project may benefit plenty of party for the state. For example, this project may create plenty of job opportunity for all the industries related and this may able to overcome the undergraduates jobless issue which become worse recently.

In addition, this project is also considering one of the environmental friendly project as most of the menthods applied must not be harmful to the environment and therefore, this may help to save our world...

However, since this project is benifited, i urged the government that must well organised this project for the people of SARAWAK....
